Gregorian Calendar

The calendar we use is the Gregorian calendar. But the use of this calendar only began on October 15, 1582. This calendar was decreed by Pope Gregory in order to fix defects in the earlier Julian Calendar. However this calendar was not accepted in England and America until September 1752, or in Russia until after the revolution in 1917. Nonetheless, these dates given by calendar conversion programs yield dates as if the Gregorian calendar was in force at all times.
